Park Mead Primary

Pupil Premium Strategy

2023-24

The Pupil Premium (PP) is designed to ensure that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.  The funding is allocated to Local Authorities and schools with pupils from Reception to Y11 who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years, are looked after or adopted.

Our aim at Park Mead is to ensure all children achieve the very best they can during their time in school. We use our Pupil Premium funding to support the learning of children in our care and to provide all children with the opportunities to succeed, including those children from a disadvantaged background.

Whilst we provide additional support and resources to help close the achievement gap between disadvantaged children and non disadvantaged within  school and nationally, we recognise that it is also vital for us to support the ‘whole child’. Therefore we seek to support children’s social, emotional, behavioural, economic and pastoral needs, as many of these factors contribute to children’s overall achievement in school.

Please find links below for the school's Pupil Premium Statement for 2023-24. This is using the statutory template from the DfE.
