Park Mead Primary School would like to say thank you to the Coop and the PTFA for the amazing lunchtime provision on offer to pupils.
Lynda MacDermott from the Co-op, Pip Bridge a school Governor and Mhairi Coles Chair of the PTFA were thanked by pupils on a recent visit to the school, for the support given to help finance the activities which all pupils enjoy irrespective of the weather. The Co-op grant and the PTFA have enabled the school to improve lunchtimes by providing a range of playground equipment, den building areas, Forest school activities and creative sheds. Year 5 playleaders showed the visitors around the playground and explained their role as part of the new provision. Headteacher Neil McAuliffe added that ‘this is the beginning of developments to improve lunchtime provision. It is remarkable to see such a significant impact in such a short space of time. In our recent Ofsted inspection the inspector commented on how well pupils play respectfully together. I would like to thank the Co-op and the PTFA for their contributions and Mrs Baker with the team of playleaders for their continued hard work to improve our school’.
