Maths - Rapid Maths

The multi-sensory approach to help KS2 learners catch up in number skills, Rapid Maths is the ideal way to help struggling learners catch up with their peers in maths. With lots of variety plus software and games, Rapid Maths makes catch-up fun.

Rapid Maths gives each child personalised support and repeated practice in the fundamentals of numeracy.

Maths - SNAP

The SNAP program identifies and overcomes core problems when young students struggle to learn and apply even the simplest numerical concepts. The objective is to intervene as early and quickly as possible before these at-risk students fall too far behind their peers.

Maths - 5 Minute Box

The 5 minute Number Box  is a proven multi-sensory system for teaching early numeracy skills and assessing children for potential learning difficulties.

Maths - Numicon

Numicon is a multi-sensory approach to teaching maths developed by experts in the classroom. It is designed to help children understand connections between numbers. Your child may already be using Numicon at school, but even if they’re not, it's ideal to support the early maths teaching they will be meeting in the classroom.

Through the multi-sensory activities and mathematical language of Numicon, your child will develop the understanding and skills that underpin their later understanding of number.

English - Early Morning Readers

 

Children are reading daily to expose them to a range of text.  The constant exposure helps the children to remember key words and also develop an understanding of the use of punctuation. 

English - Project X

This proven reading intervention programme focuses on developing both synthetic phonics and comprehension within a highly motivational character series.

English - ELS

An early identification programme to support children to learn their sounds  and letters and to practise their reading and writing.

English - 5 minute box

The Five Minute Box is a proven multi-sensory system for teaching early literacy skills and assessing children for potential learning difficulties.

English - Rapid Read

Rapid Reading is a wave 3 reading intervention programme suitable for struggling learners, less able children, children with English as an additional language.

English - Rapid Phonics

Rapid Phonics based on the Sound Discovery method devised by Dr. Marlynne Grant. It makes phonics snappy and memorable for readers fallen behind.

Phonics - SMART Kids support games

A range of interactive games to be played with children to reinforce phonic knowledge.  Games for phase 3, 4 and 5.

English - Developing written language skills

 

Writing is considered the most difficult aspect of literacy development.  This programme breaks down tasks into small steps that can be worked on separately and then incorporated into the whole writing process

Motor Skills - Fizzy clever hands

 

A programme developed by eastern and Coastal Kent NHS to support the development of fine and gross motor skills. Progress through Levels 1 - 3

English - Toe By Toe

 

A step by step programme that supports the children phonological awareness and helps to build confidence and self-esteem.

Social - ELKAN

A programme modelling social interactions to encourage talking.

The trained member of staff understands the development of speech sounds and why children have problems, they are taught simple strategies to help the child. They know how to support a child with interaction difficulties

Social - Time to talk

 

To teach and develop oral language and social interaction skills to children aged 4-6.  Skills taught include: eye contact; taking turns; sharing; greetings; awareness of feelings; giving; following instructions; listening; paying attention; and play skills.

Social - Socially Speaking

A social skills programme for pupils with mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical and/or medical disabilities and for those with special needs in mainstream education is divided into three units: let's communicate; let's be friends and let's practice. It aims to increase self-esteem and improve listening skills and expressive language abilities. Teacher's notes, photocopiable illustrated pupil worksheets and assessment and evaluation forms are included.

Social - ELSA

A programme which delivers programmes of support to pupils in their school who are experiencing temporary or longer term additional emotional needs.
