Charging for School Visits
Parents will be asked to make a voluntary donation towards the cost of school trips and some visiting groups. A minimum amount is requested in order to cover costs and no profit is made on these occasions. Should parents not be in a position to contribute, their child will not be individually disadvantaged. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in such situations. However, if there are insufficient funds, the Governors reserve the right to cancel the activity for all. A minibus was purchased as a joint venture between the PTFA and the Governing Body in 2003. This has proved to be invaluable in providing flexible transport for sports and musical events. Furthermore, financial economies have been passed onto parents through savings on coach bookings for year group day visits.
The school operates a savings scheme for residential trips which allows you to spread the cost of residential trips over the course of time your child is with us here at Park Mead. Savings cards are available from the school office or you can make regular payments online via scopay, com.
