School Office

When visiting the school, your first point of call will be the front office. You will receive a warm welcome from our friendly office staff, Gail Gascoyne, Vicky Hedger and Melissa Rogers. They will do their best to respond to your requests although please bear in mind that the beginning and end of the day are often very busy times and you may need to be patient.

Payment Details

Our preferred method of payment for dinner money, trips, swimming lessons etc is via our online payment system or by cheque or cash. Cheques for school dinners should be made payable to Surrey County Council. Cheques for all other items should be made payable to Park Mead Primary School with your child's name, payment purpose and class on the reverse. Please place in an envelope and ask your child to pass on to their class teacher. If however, you wish to pay by cash this can be delivered in person to the office staff.

Changes to Collection Arrangements

We appreciate that there will be occasions when you are unexpectedly delayed. Should this be the case, please inform the office at the earliest possible opportunity. Furthermore if there is a change to who is collecting, this must be a person known to the child. We will endeavour to pass on messages of this nature but we are unable to guarantee that this will be the case should information be received after 3.00 pm.

Car Users

As you can appreciate, the position of the main school entrance contributes to significant congestion at the beginning and end of the school day. The road safety officer and police ask for your co-operation in keeping the area safe.

The area marked with zigzag lines must be kept free during school hours and vehicles must not stop in this area to drop off or pick up children. We have been advised by the police that this is now statutory and they will prosecute if people do not comply. We therefore earnestly request all parents to park away from the marked area and follow a voluntary one way system around Park Drive and Taylor’s Crescent at the beginning and end of the school day.

In order to avoid congestion and for safety reasons we ask parents not to drive up to the school car park unless there are exceptional circumstances previously agreed with the Head Teacher or office staff, or in the event of an emergency.
